Is Bipolar II a milder form of Bipolar?

Hi guys. I hope you are well.I am 23 years old and live in Scotland. I had a bad bout of depression about 15 months ago.But i've also had a period where i have felt euphoric and ontop of the world and invincible.My thoughts have raced, i had so much energy, i didn't need much sleep, i spent money like a maniac and i made all sorts of wild plans that others had doubts about.But i also felt very productive and creative. The doctor called this "hypomania". I seen the psychiatrist a few weeks ago and she diagnosed me with Bipolar II Disorder. I am now taking a mood stabiliser.My question is,Is Bipolar II Disorder a milder form of Bipolar?Can i live a normal life despite the diagnosis?Thanks for your time and i would appreciate your thoughts.
