What does it mean when my crushes family stare at me?

Well, I went to a restaurant with my mom and the guy I thought who was cute was there. His dad is from my town and his mom is from a half hour away. He comes home every other weekend. Every time I see his family members, (Dad, Step-mom, Sisters, and Grandparents) wherever i see any of them, they always stare at me. And, when his step sisters see me, they start yelling out my name, waving, and get all excited. (They are elementary ages). They just stare at me for like 20 seconds whenever I see them! Why is that? Would that mean this cute guy likes me? I've never IM him or anything. I maybe saw him 3 times at the age of 15. But, when i saw him at that restaurant..his family just starts REALLY staring at me!
