Why am I always so jumpy when theres a sudden noise?

I'm always really jumpy. It's really annoying because I like blaring music on my headphones and every time I do, I have to consciously think to myself there is about to be noise, and tell myself to not jump, and it usually still doesnt work. and i have to do the same thing when I print thins cuz my printer makes a sudden loud noise when it's anbout to print something. Why am I so jumpy and is there anything i can do to stop it.
